Deadline Approaching for Toronto's Incentive Program

The City of Toronto has a Green Roof Incentive Program that provides grants to property owners who install green roofs.

For the 2007 Program, the grant is $50 per square metre of eligible green roof area up to a maximum of $10,000 for single family homes, and a maximum of $100,000 for all other buildings. All the details of the program — and the application form — can be found on the city’s website.

The deadline for applications under the 2007 program is December 31, 2007. If you are even considering installing a green roof next year, I strongly encourage you to apply.
